To Yong Risinger

To Yong Risinger, 68, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at home under the care of Hospice.

To Yong was born in South Korea and was a long-time resident of Hinesville. She was a faithful member of Good News Atlanta Church. She loved cooking and made the best egg rolls. She also enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron L. Risinger; and parents, Chil-sung Jang and Bong-yi Kim.

To Yong is survived by two step-daughters, Janell Arnold (Michael) and Nyoda Yarbrough (Lamar); three step-grandchildren, Cameron Arnold, Brandon Collins, and Joseph Yarbrough; one step-great-grandchild, Cooper Arnold; brothers, Won-deok Jang, and Won-tae Jang; sisters, In-yeon Jang and Seong-yeon Jang; estranged daughter, Karen Mitchell; granddaughter, Satori Mitchell; and several nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. To Yong’s family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Park Cemetery.
