Terry Lamar Wells, Sr.

Terry Lamar Wells, Sr., 60, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many. 

Born on December 19, 1962, Terry was a lifelong resident of Gumbranch. One of Terry's greatest passions was music. He had an incredible talent for playing both the drums and guitar. In addition to his musical pursuits, he took pleasure in watching NASCAR races, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves teams, and watching golf whenever he had the chance. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Gerald Wells.

Terry is survived by his wife, Dolores S. Wells; two children, Sandra Lynn Hodges (Jason) and Terry Lamar Wells, Jr. (Sarah); his mother, Polly U. Wells (Bill); one brother, Johnny L. Wells (Tammy); three grandchildren, Taylor Hodges, Brantley Hodges, and Carson Wells; along with extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
