Mrs. Sue Lynn Thomas of Flint, age 74, passed away and received her wings to be with the rest of her family, Sunday, August 23, 2020 at The Gardens of Savannah (Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility) in Savannah, Georgia.

Sue Lynn Parks was born April 27, 1946 in Flint, Michigan, the last child out of six siblings of Leonard and Dorothy Parks. She grew up attending the Flint School System and graduated from Flint Southwestern. Like her other sisters, she pursued a career in the nursing field. Later in life, she decided to make her career and started working for the Flint Board of Education systems as a bus driver, mechanic, and finally ending her career and retiring after 29 years of service as a custodian.

Sue loved being with her family, she loved to cook, she loved arts and crafts, she loved playing softball, and she loved fishing. In April of 2015 she packed up her belongings and moved to Georgia to be with her daughter.

Sue leaves to bloom and cherish her memory, her daughter, Sabrina L. Thomas of Guyton, Georgia. Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Lester L. Thomas, Jr.; son, Lester L. Thomas, III; parents, Leonard and Dorothy Parks; sisters, Thayer (Markey) Holland, Roberta Dulaney, Jerry Gonzales, and Clotilde Dansby; brother, Leonard Parks; and grandparents, Archie Parks, Katie Parks, Dorothy Cook Conway, and Walter S. Earnest.

Mrs. Sue L. Thomas will be cremated in Guyton, Georgia. Sue was a wonderful and joyful mother, daughter, and sister. It didn’t take much to make her smile and she knew how to make others smile too.
