Steven L. Adams

September 29, 1954 — August 22, 2021

Steven Loxie Adams passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Candler Hospital after suffering another stroke.

Steve was born in Savannah, Georgia where he lived most of his adult life. He graduated from Bradwell Institute with the class of 1972. Steve was a long-term resident at Oceanside Nursing Home in Tybee Island where he would be seen enjoying his outings to the beach utilizing his power chair to navigate the sidewalks around the area.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Joe Mack Adams; his wife, Valerie Adams; and his daughter, Terri Reynolds.

Steve is survived by his mother, Martha Lou Adams from Hinesville; two sisters, Joann Wilson (Donald) from Ludowici, and Jan DiNitto (Paul) from Brooklet; two granddaughters, Naomi Elaine and Teresa Jade Reynolds from Rincon; and three nephews, Thomas Wilson (Ashley) from Panama City, FL; Connor and Nicholas DiNitto from Brooklet.

Steve lived a carefree life, despite his disabilities.  He always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.  No matter what obstacles life threw at him, he did not feel sorry for himself, and he continued to have a positive outlook on life.

Steve will be cremated and his ashes will be interred in Long Pond Family Cemetery at a later date. There will be no service at this time due to COVID-19.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking donations be made in Steve’s honor to the American Stroke Foundation since both Steve and his father died from a stroke.
