Scot Beasley

Scot Beasley, 54, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 after a long illness at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

Scot was a lifetime resident of Hinesville, graduating from Bradwell High School in 1987. Scot lived life to the fullest, he was a people person and liked to travel with friends. He was an avid fisherman and loved to cook, especially seafood. Scot was well known for riding around on his golfcart visiting friends and neighbors.

He was a loyal fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, and he enjoyed tailgating at the games. Scot loved going to River Street in Savannah, and liked to watch The Price is Right, Jeopardy, and soap operas. Scot will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Scot is survived by his parents, Daniel and Faye Beasley; brother, Randy Beasley; nephew, Dalton Beasley; niece, Autumn Beasley; aunts and uncles, Regina (Dennis) Burkhalter of Starke, FL, Ramona (Bill) Dixon of Thunderbolt, GA, and Wanda Guyett of Glennville, GA; special, devoted friend, Dottie and Papa Jack; along with a host of cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Scot’s caregivers, Debbie McDonald and Kerwin Walton for their compassion and kindness.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with Brenda Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Sikes Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Claxton, GA.

Pallbearers will be Joel Osteen, Del Beasley, Martin Welch, Hank Sharpe, Lee Artis Baker, and Brian Ashmore.
