Ronald Eugen Smith, born on September 26, 1965, in Fort Stewart, Georgia, departed this life on June 29, 2025, at Hospice of Savannah, surrounded by his loving family. He is a life long resident of Liberty County and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who brought joy to all who knew him.

Ronald, who owned and operated Smith Co. Home Improvements, was known for his keen craftsmanship and his ability to tackle various home projects with ease. Together with his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Rachel Smith, he also ran Hinesville Arcade, where they made lasting memories and forged strong connections in their community.

A graduate of Bradwell Institute, class of 1984, Ronald maintained a spirited connection to his roots and continually engaged with the Liberty County community. He made a significant contribution to youth sports, having coached at the Liberty County Recreation Department alongside his wife, instilling values of teamwork and dedication in the children they guided.

Ronald was a vibrant personality, often described as the life of the party. His charisma was only rivaled by his love for dancing, which brought many smiles to gatherings. He was not only a handyman skilled in making repairs but also an enthusiastic fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, often spending cherished time watching games with friends.

A dedicated member of Compass Worship Center Church in Ludowici, Georgia, Ronald embraced his faith and community, exemplifying kindness and support for those around him.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Rachel Smith; his cherished sons, Shawn and Shane; daughter Amber Roberts; and grandchildren, James, Aniston, Anna, Orion, and Elle. Ronald is also survived by his mother, Betty Jene Smith, and sister, Cindy, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will dearly miss him.

Ronald is Proceed in death by his father, Donald Smith, and his maternal grandparents.

Family will receive friends on Saturday July 5, 2025 at 2 P.M. at Carter Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will follow at 3 P.M. in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Savannah in Ronald's Name.

Carter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
