Richard Espino

September 24, 1967 — May 11, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Richard Espino. Richard went missing on the 4th of May and he was found on the 11th of May. Richard graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1985 and joined the United States Marine Corps. After his time in the Corps, he attended Savannah Technical College to study Electrical Engineering. Richard left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Despite the physical challenges that he faced during much of his life, his spirit never wavered. He was an uplifting presence in every situation. We take comfort that Richard is no longer in pain and is in a better place. We will all miss him and keep his memory with us forever.

Richard is survived by his son, Tyler Espino; beloved mother, Lourdes Espino-Wright; sister, Yolanda McInnis and her husband Gordon and sister, Lourdes Ivette Zimmerman and her husband Robert; brother, Alexander A. Willington; niece, Nina Marie Balser and husband Ryan and her 4 boys, Philip, William, Tristan and Liam; nephew, Vincent Barnett and his wife Deborah; and by beloved adopted sister, Billie Ann Gaskin.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Westside Baptist Church, 108 Welborn Street, Hinesville, GA 31313. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service.
