Ralph Wayne Wilson

April 7, 1954 — February 2, 2022

Dearly loved Husband and Poppie, Ralph Wayne Wilson, passed away on February 02, 2022 at the age of 67 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia after a short illness. He was surrounded by his wife, sons, and daughter-in-law as he entered into the arms of his Savior.

He was born to Elmer and Francis Wilson on April 7, 1954. He married the love of his life,Tyra Harn, in 1977 and together they had two sons: Ryan and Josh Wilson. Aftergraduating from Columbia High School in Decatur, Georgia, Ralph worked for Wilson Welding for nine years, then transferred to Kemira Chemicals in Savannah, Georgia. He later worked at Andress Engineering until retirement in December 2019. Ralph was known to many as the best welder in Southeast Georgia.
 
Ralph adored his family and spent many family gatherings cooking for his children and grandchildren. He loved to work with his hands in the yard and recently became a skilled Beekeeper. Many loved ones received his honey for he was excited to share with all around him. Ralph was involved in his church Community Bible Church in Savannah, Georgia.
 
Ralph is survived by his wife of 44 years, Tyra Harn Wilson; his two sons Ryan (Laura) Wilson of Guatemala;  Josh (Carla) Wilson of Black Creek, Georgia. He was a proud Poppie to eight grandchildren: Hannah Wilson, Caleb Wilson, Rachel Wilson, Luke Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Carson Wilson, Paul Wilson, and Carly Wilson. Ralph is survived by siblings: Delores Delrez and Park Wilson; many nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.  Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Francis Wilson; as well as his brothers James and Mark Wilson. 
 
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel in Richmond Hill, Georgia. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Compassion Christian Church in the Adult Ministry Building with the burial to follow at Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Keller, Georgia.
