Martha Sue Darsey Ginter, 92, of Sunbury, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024 surrounded by her family after a short illness.
Martha Sue was a lifelong resident of Liberty County and traveled with her husband during his military career. She was a member of Midway Methodist Church where she was part of the Happy Hearts Club. She was also an original member of the Moonflower Garden Club and Bridge Girls. She enjoyed quilting in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, George E. Ginter.
Martha Sue is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Ginter Waters (George) and Luanne Ginter Smith (Ronnie); five grandchildren, Blake Waters (Marianne). Flynt Waters (Jessica), Ali Smith (Jared), Lee Smith, and Blayre Haley (Wil); nine great-grandchildren; brother, John Dekle Darsey (Peggy); sister-in-law, Audrey Ray; and many extended family members.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Azalealand Nursing Home and Suli Meteolechol.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2024 in Hinesville Cemetery.
