Leigh Ann Alexander, 49, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

A Liberty County native and resident for most of her life, Leigh Ann was born on October 10, 1971.  She worked as an office manager at Happy Acres Housing for over twenty years and had been a member at Rye Patch and Elim Baptist Churches over the years.  Leigh Ann’s outgoing and loving personality will always be remembered, and she truly had a heart of gold.  Leigh Ann was always ready to help out when necessary and she always loved trying new things.

Her mother, Deborah Ann Boutin Yarbrough, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Heather Alexander, Christopher Alexander, Deborah Alexander and adopted daughter, Ashely Buckmaster all of Hinesville; father, Robert Yarbrough of Gumbranch; brother, Lamar Yarbrough and wife, Nyoda of Gumbranch; grandchildren, Braden and Riley; and nephews, Joseph and Brandon.  A host of uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family members also survive.

A walk-through visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Elim Baptist Church with Reverend Jack Yarbrough officiating.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating at the service will be limited, social distancing will be observed, and the wearing of masks is required.
