Retired Colonel Kenneth (Kenny) Dale Lee, 72, of Midway, GA passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 after a courageous battle fighting cancer with the same courage and determination he had when he fought for his country.

Kenny was born and raised on Hilton Head Island, SC / Sylvania, GA. He had a distinguished thirty-nine years of military service in the United States Army and Army National Guard. He was in charge of the National Guard Training Center in Hinesville, GA for many years. Kenny heroically served in both Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Freedom and was the recipient of numerous distinguished awards, medals, and ribbons recognizing him for his sacrifice and service fighting for global freedom.

He had a passion for fishing, hunting, and building. He loved to travel to the Florida Keys and to Honduras to spend time with his family and friends. Kenny will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, dear friend, and amazing coach. He was a mentor to many, not only throughout his military career, but to many young boys and men he coached in baseball in Liberty County. He loved to encourage everyone to reach their full potential.

Kenny is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Boatright Lee; daughter, Krista Diana Lee; son, Jacob Patrick Lee; grandson, Jacob Finn Lee; and two sisters, Donna Griffin and Melanie Moody.

In respect of Kenny’s wishes, no services will be held.
