Karen Carter

Karen Carter, 58, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Born on September 4, 1965, Karen brought joy and kindness to everyone she encountered throughout her life.

Known for her sweet and loving nature, Karen had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. Her friendly disposition meant that she never met a stranger. She brightened the lives of those around her with her genuine warmth and infectious smile. She had a special knack for keeping in touch with family and friends, always making an effort to nurture those relationships that meant so much to her. To know Karen was to have a lifelong friend.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Dupree; two daughters, Heather Carter and Jessica McDonald; three grandchildren, Evan, Maddox, and Jase; two sisters, Diane and Marilyn; one brother, Jay; extended family members; and many friends. 

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home. Karen's family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
