Joseph Bernard Jnobaptiste, 87, of Hinesville, GA passed away on July 21, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.
Bernard was born on December 31, 1934 in Laudat Dominica to the late James Daniel Jnobaptiste (Sudi) and Rachel Barry.
He spent numerous years as a Forest Ranger in Dominica and later as an Operator at Hershey Candy Company in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing dominoes, dancing and traveling. He was proud of his family and would brag about them to all who would listen. Bernard leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Betty; sons, Elisha (Anika), Daniel, Peter, Aaron (Lovette), Bernard, Jr., Julien (Kimberly), and David; daughters, Pamela, Annie (Carl Thomas), Bernadette, Miranda, and Chrisa; one stepdaughter, Debbie; grandchildren, Jasmine, Joshua, Josian, Danita, Anica, Miranda, Merlik, Israel, Gabriel, Alyssa, Jeffrey, Philip, Ken, Kurvin, Kareem, Fernalla, Alaina, and Aleeyah; six sister-in-laws; six brother-in-laws; and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many, many dear friends in the entire village of Laudat.
Bernard’s family would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Bryan County Health and Rehab Center where he was truly loved and adored.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, 308 West Oglethorpe Highway (HWY 84), Hinesville, GA 31313. A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation in Oglethorpe Memorial Park Cemetery on South Main Street in Hinesville.
Bernard’s pallbearers will be Bernard, Jr., Aaron, David, Carl, Kareem, and Thomas.
