Jean Russell Cutchens

Jean Russell Cutchens, 70, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at home under Georgia Hospice Care after a long illness. 

Born in Tampa, FL on September 3, 1953, Jean was a beloved registered nurse who dedicated 30 years of her life to serving others at Wynn Army Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, and Memorial University Medical Center. Her compassion and selflessness left an indelible mark on all those she cared for throughout her career. Described as a devoted mother, wife, and friend, Jean's warm personality touched the lives of many. She cherished her family and friends above all else and found immense joy in being a part of their lives. Apart from her professional accomplishments, Jean was also an active member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church where she found solace and community.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heather Cutchens Feinstein; and her parents, Oliver and Annie Laurie Russell.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Larry Cutchens of Hinesville, GA; her son, Chris Cutchens of Sunbury, GA; two grandsons, Jackson Feinstein and Kaleb Feinstein of Denver, CO; as well as her brother Bob Freeman of Adel, GA; along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Jean will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 1, 2024, at Flemington Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hinesville, GA with Reverend Ben Beasley officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, Jean's family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Flemington Presbyterian Church, 875 Old Sunbury Road, Hinesville, GA 31313.
