Grover Clayton Mixell Sr. of Jesup, Georgia was born on June 21, 1958 entered into rest on May 18, 2025 at home with his family by his side following a long illness.
He was born June 21, 1958 in Sunbury PA to the late George R. Mixell Sr. and Lois M. (Lynn) Mixell and on September 24, 1977 he married the love of his life Frances Troutman. Grover is a U.S. Army veteran.
Grover enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife Frances Mixell, a son Grover Mixell Jr., and a daughter Alicia Mixell, 2 sisters Georgia Kurtz, and Sylvia Mixell, 3 brothers George Mixell Jr., Carol Mixell, Charles Mixell, 9 grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grover is preceded in death by his parents George and Louis Mixell, sister Mary Mertz, and one Brother Jeffery Mixell all of Milton, PA.
Funeral services will be held in Pennsylvania at a later time.
Carter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
