Dr. T. Alan Lyle

Dr. T. Alan Lyle, 84, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness. 

He was born in Temple, GA and lived in Sunbury for the past 30 years. Terry was an Eagle Scout, played football at Villa Rica High School, was a graduate of GA Tech, and in 1967 was first in his Dental Class at the University of Tennessee (Memphis). Terry was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing. He also enjoyed motocross, cooking and camping with his sons, other family members, and friends. 

He always faithfully took care of his wife, Ann. Terry loved God, his family and friends, and the Republican Party. 

He was preceded in death by two sons, Lee Lyle and Mike Lyle; his mother, Mimi Lyle; one sister, Angela Strickland; and one brother, Mark Lyle.

Terry is survived by his wife of many years, Ann Lyle; son, Lonnie Lyle (Robin); daughter-in-law, Janet Lyle; five grandchildren, Meagan, Sarah, Tess, Henry, and Liam; great-granddaughter, Georgia Claire; and two brothers, Scott Lyle and Barry Lyle. 

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Terry will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Shrimp Docks, 138 Galley Lane in Sunbury.
