Donald E. Teft, Jr., 79, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Memorial Health University Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born in Durham, NC and lived in Hinesville for the past forty years. He spent sixty years serving his country, having been retired from the U.S. Army and working with Civil Service. He was an avid fisherman. He loved his cats, and his bird, most of all he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Thelma Teft.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Barbara Teft; four children, Jill Auvil, Robert Teft, Pamela Pray (Roberto Rodriguez), and Elizabeth Constance; grandchildren, Philip Auvil, John Auvil, Ashley Teft, Robert Teft, Jr., Michael Teft, Kristin Teft, Aaron Pray, Steven Teft, Jeremy Constance, and Haley Constance; fourteen great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Kathy Holland (Monte).
A walk-through visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are required to be worn inside of the funeral home.
