Diann Jenkins

August 13, 1951 — June 15, 2020

Dickie “Diann” Godfrey Jenkins, 68, passed away unexpectedly June 15, 2020, at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, CA. 

Born in Paragold, AR, she was raised in Georgia and was a resident of Ludowici for the past twenty years.  She was a consultant for Hardenbergh Group and member of VFW Post 6602 in Hinesville.  A world traveler, Diann enjoyed international cuisine and, her newest passion, hiking.  Diann was a very spiritual person who enjoyed studying religions, beliefs, and customs all over the world.  She was Baptist by faith. She attended the University of North Carolina and Princeton University.  She adored her dog, Tito. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Grace Godfrey, and her sisters, Sue Freund and Montiene Wallace McClard.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Lindsay (Rose) of Ludowici, Brad Lindsay of Tennessee, and Brian Bagwell of New York, NY; siblings, Rick Godfrey and Dora Alliene Morris; three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Dylan, and Bradley; and one great-grandchild on the way.

A memorial service will be held at 5pm, Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. 

Due to restrictions set in place during the current COVID19 health crisis, attendance at the funeral home is limited, social distancing practices will be in effect, and face coverings are encouraged.
