Catherine Lynn Deal

Catherine Lynn Deal, 66, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Lynn was an outgoing, friendly person who never met a stranger. She enjoyed going to the beach, singing, dancing, and karaoke. Her true passion though, was being with and taking care of her family and friends. She was a caregiver to her Uncle Randy for the last 12 years. Her grandson, Aaron, was her pride and joy. In a world that can be dark, Lynn provided light. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Ferguson, Jr.; parents, Simon and Catherine Deal; and her sister, Diane Smith.

Lynn is survived by her daughter, Celena Thornton; grandson, Aaron Thornton; brother and sister-in-law, Timmy and Melissa Deal; brother-in-law, Jimmy Smith; two uncles, Randy and Harold; special friends, Stephanie Graham, Lynne Lane, Jackie Warren, Courtney, Kimmie, Sally, and Elke; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care and compassion. 

Memorial services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Lynn’s family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
