Buck Barrett Smith

Buck Barrett Smith, 37, passed away at his residence in Metter, GA on August 10, 2018. Buck was raised in Richmond Hill, GA by parents Donna (Barrett) and CD Smith in the sun, water, and a south GA family tradition. He served honorably as a Reconnaissance Marine before earning a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Georgia and moved on to a successful career in sales. Buck will be remembered for his love of fishing, football and his fierce loyalty to family and friends. Buck is survived by his son, Rhett Smith; mother, Donna Smith; siblings, Russell Smith, Trey Smith and Kelly Orson; as well as many nieces and nephews. He has gone to join his father and beloved Granny Jo, where they are betting on cards and loving us loudly from afar. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
