Brigitte Dillard

Brigitte F. Dillard, 67, departed her life on Sunday, November 8, 20220 at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville.

Brigitte was born in Germany on May 8, 1953 to parents, Kurt and Elizabeth Schilke. She was a devoted employee at AAFES and then Hawks Troop Clinic for over ten years before retiring. She enjoyed being with her family and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kurt and Elizabeth Schilke; and sister, Monika Butler.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband, John McGarrah of Hinesville; two daughters, Sonja Monika Rusher (Eric) of Ludowici and Samantha McGarrah of Vidalia; one son, Tracy Landell Schilke (Sabiene) of Germany; six brothers, Werner Schilke, Wolfgang Schilke, Peter Schilke, Guenther Schilke, Dieter Schilke, and Roland Schilke all of Germany; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with Reverend Gabe Gill officiating. A walk-through visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Hinesville Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating at the service will be limited, social distancing will be observed, and the wearing of masks is required. The public is invited to watch the service via Livestream at www.facebook.com/cfhbchapel2.
