Barbara Diane Mallard

Barbara Diane (Myrick) Mallard, age 70, of Richmond Hill, passed away October 13, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born December 31, 1951 to parents David L. Myrick and Betty Ruth Myrick and grew up in Richmond Hill.

Diane is survived by her two children, Sandy Underwood (Jim) and Troy Mallard (Kim); siblings, Ricky Myrick, Ronnie Myrick and Jackie Smith (Steven); and grandchildren, Zachary Underwood (Jake); Abbey Underwood, Hunter Underwood; and Meagan Mallard (Adian). She was preceded in death by her parents, David L. and Betty Ruth Myrick Seymour; and brother, David Allen Myrick.

Diane worked as a caregiver for many years. She was also care giver to her aunt Kat for many years making sure she had all she needed in the nursing home and made many trips to take her food and clean clothes. She also loved to raise puppies. She was very creative and made many flower arrangements that are put on gravesites.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Diane’s family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
