Barbara Jean "Sam" Gann

October 3, 1949 — November 6, 2019

Barbara Jean “Sam” Gann, 70, passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Memorial Health University Medical Center after a short illness.

She lived most of her life in Hinesville and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was very involved with the nursery for many years. She was an avid bowler, a super woman in crafts, and an animal lover.  She was very patriotic and a proud Army wife for over 20 years.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, G.W. Gann; two sons, Paul Warren Gann of Jacksonville, FL, and Alex Mitchell Gann of Hinesville, GA; brother, Allen Whaley of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service will begin at 3 pm, Sunday, November 10, 2019, at Trinity Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.   Burial will be at 1pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
