Ann Balaskiewicz, 95, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.
Ann was born in Germany and lived in Hinesville, GA for the past 63 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 168 – Ladies Auxiliary and a faithful member of the Hinesville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Balaskiewicz; and two daughters, Helene Balaskiewicz and Nancy Balaskiewicz.
She is survived by her children, Tom (Lee), Robert, James (Kim), and Jason (Christy); sister, Martha Mergott; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Carter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hinesville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 165 Sunset Boulevard, Jesup, GA 31545.
