Alton James "AJ" Murray

Alton James “AJ” Murray, 1, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Egleston Hospital surrounded by his family.

AJ lived his life in Savannah, GA. He loved listening to music, playing outside, Nemo, and cars. He was the happiest, sweetest baby and brought so much joy to everyone who met him.

AJ is survived by his parents, Ashley Murray and Steven Brannen; grandparents, Jennifer and Scott Cooper, Michelle Brannen, Kenny Murray and Caryle Tyson; great-grandparents, Dan and Jamie Davenport, Mickey and Betty Brannen, and Kathy McClelland and Roger Boyles; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel. AJ’s family encourages everyone to wear red in recognition of February being Heart Disease Awareness Month and to honor AJ. Masks will be required to attend.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Children’s Egleston Hospital of Atlanta for the great care, love, and compassion they showed during this most difficult time.
