Eugene Jackson Floyd, Jr.

Hinesville Eugene Jackson (Jack) Floyd, Jr., 66, born November 15, 1945 to the late Jack and Sue Hammock Floyd, died Tuesday November 29th at his residence. Born and raised in Hinesville, he was a member of Hinesville First United Methodist Church. After serving in the Air Force, he became an electrical foreman, retiring from Civil Service at Ft. Stewart after thirty-three years. Later he worked for the Coastal Courier in the distribution department; a role he took great pride in. Survivors include a daughter Jacque Sue Wright of Bonneau, SC; a son Eugene Jackson (EJ) Floyd III of Hinesville; five grandchildren Jonathan, Trinity, Leah, Lacey, and Steven; the mother of his children, Lisa Floyd of Allenhurst. A memorial Service will at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4th at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rich Wright will be officiating.
