Tiffany Renee York

November 9, 1994 — December 6, 2011

We all loved her and we all have different things to say," Brenda Thomas says about her daughter Tiffany Renee York, who went home on the night of Dec. 5 or morning of Dec. 6. Tiffany was a junior at Liberty County High School and photographer for its yearbook this year. Always active in school, she had been the sixth-grade princess and eighth-grade second runner-up princess at Midway Middle School. Besides her photography hobby, she was passionate for music and tattoos. Mother Brenda Thomas: "She always had a smile on her beautiful face and showed everyone it is OK to express yourself in your own way and not to judge anyone. She had wonderful qualities that made her a unique daughter." Sister Kendell Thomas: "I have never seen a prettier sister. We have the same style in our hearts. Even when I grow up, I will remember you." Stepfather Wesley Thomas: "Watching you grow up, you were always in your own world and never gave me any problems. You were never too busy to call and check up on me while I was on the road, working. Such a beautiful young lady, I will never forget. I love you, baby." Sister Morgan York: "All I ever wanted was for you to be happy, and now you're happier than we could ever imagine. I will cherish every moment I spent with you. Not only sisters, but best friends, too. Just remember, 'sissys forever.'" Sister Ashley Thomas: "Tiffany was my sister but also my best friend. One thing I'll always remember is her laughter. I could always hear her throughout the house. We told each other everything, even if it was nothing." Father Timothy York: "We always looked forward to her visits to California. She was so full of life and never a dull moment. We could just sit on the phone and talk and talk. You'll always be daddy's baby angel, and now you're watching over us." Brother Timothy York: "I just picture her being happy all the time and always having positive things to say. She was very caring. If I needed anything to make me smile, she was that girl. As soon as I joined the Marine Corps, she always called me. She always touched me." Brother Nick York: "Her attitude, how bright, how funny she was. And how loving she was. She could be kinda mean, but it was just how she showed her love sometimes. She just loved shopping, having her nails done, having her hair done, just having something done." Survivors are her parents, Brenda Thomas and Timothy Lee York; stepfather, George Wesley Thomas II; grandparents, Mary and Prieto Lopez, and Joyce Cardwell; step-grandparents, Judy G. and George Wesley Thomas Sr.; great-grandfather, Lupe Hernandez; brothers, Nicholas Lee York and Timothy Lee York Jr.; sisters, Morgan York, Ashley Thomas and Kendell Thomas; uncles, Wally Gonzales and Gary Dixon; aunts, Diana Gonzales, Sandra Rabena, Norma Garcia, Marciela Molina, Lajeana Shoffner, Mary York, Tina York, Paula Morgan and Renee Dixon; and numerous family members across the country. A celebration of Tiffany's life will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Westside Baptist Church in Hinesville.
