Charles Alfred Purser

Charles A Purser, 84, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center. He has lived in Liberty County since 1954. He was a member of Midway Methodist Church, Jaycees, Shrine, and American Legion. A founding member of the Cherokee Rose Country Club, he was the First Pink Man at Liberty Regional Medical Center, and numerous other civic clubs. He was a US Navy WWII veteran, a graduate of the University Of Georgia and retired from banking in 1972. Mr. Purser is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years Ann Purser. He is survived by two daughters Regina (Charles) Callaway of Dalton, and Charla Fraser (Don Daleen) of St. Simons; a son David Purser (Susan) of Midway; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother Billy Purser (Lilli Lea) of Cochran, Ga; a special friend and a member of the family, Lizzie George.
