Jeffery L. Johnson

March 9, 1961 — October 3, 2016



Jeff Johnson, 55, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL, after a short illness.

He was born in Biloxi, MS, grew up in Lafayette, LA, and lived the last 21 years in Fleming, GA.  Before moving to Georgia, he worked as a concrete barrier wall installer on bridges throughout the Southeast.  After moving to Georgia, he was a heavy equipment and curb machine operator at Dryden Enterprises for 18 years.  He was an avid fan of LSU football.  He also enjoyed science fiction, Cajun cooking and fishing.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, Naida and Johnny Johnson, and two brothers, Wayne and Michael Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Ellen Johnson; three pups, Shelby, Charlotte, and Gerry Lee; and numerous cousins and friends.

The Funeral Service will begin at 1pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
