Peggy Lee Boyd McDaniel

Peggy McDaniel, 62, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Liberty Regional Medical Center.

Born in Hillsboro, OR, she was a long-time resident of Nehalem, OR.  As an Army wife, she lived in various locations across the United States and Germany.  She lived in Hinesville for the past 25 years.  She was very passionate about family and animal rescue.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Rosemae Boyd, and a sister, Debbie Bearden.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles McDaniel; children, Charles McDaniel, II, of Hinesville, Cory McDaniel of Winona, MN, Catherine Medina of Hinesville, Kimberly Christman of Hinesville, Timothy McCarty of Hinesville, Matt King of Demerest, GA, Angela McDaniel of Hinesville, Melanie Stubbs of Glennville, and Frizzell Winbush, III, of Hinesville; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Jensen of Central Point, OR; 3 sisters, Susan Cruse of British Columbia, Canada, Connie Bearden of Eagles Creek, AK, Florence West of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews that she adored.

 A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 25, 2016, at 11 am in the chapel at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  The family will receive friends for one-half hour prior to the service.
