Cassie Tanner

Hinesville

Cassie Tanner,95, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Savannah Hospice House. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Wesley Hall and the widow of Eugene A. Tanner.

She was a lifelong resident of Liberty County and a pillar of the Hinesville community.  A member of the Hinesville First Methodist Church, Ollie Darsey Sunday School Class, Women of Vision and Faith Circle and the Financial Administrator of the Hinesville First Methodist Church for 50 years.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Patricia Bishop and John of Savannah and Debbie Smith and Jamey of Savannah; Grandson James Emory Smith III (Tripp) of Savannah.

Visitation will be from 2-3pm. Sunday, November 27 at Hinesville First Methodist Church with Reverend Dale Thornton, Reverend Doug Force, Reverend Roland Banks and Reverend Dave Hanson officiating the funeral service at 3pm and burial will follow at the Hinesville Cemetery.  Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
