Mildred Ann Jenkinson

Mildred A. Jenkinson, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2016, at Spanish Oaks Retreat in Savannah.

Born in Queens, NY, she lived in Hinesville for the past 55 years and was an original member of St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church in Hinesville. She was the branch manager at The Hinesville Bank for many years, and was also employed with Fort Stewart Credit Union.   

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter John “Jack” Jenkinson; a brother, Edward Neefeldt; three sisters, Florence Edwards, Eleanor Patterson, and Mary Brown.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Jenkinson and his wife Pam of Great Bend, KS, Glen Jenkinson and his wife Maureen of Townsend, and Kenneth Jenkinson and his wife Patricia of Midway;  brother-in-law, William Jenkinson and his wife Vicki of Rochester, NY; eight grandchildren, Bryan Jenkinson (Hilary), Jessica Hale (Bo), Lauren O’Sheilds (Shane), John Jenkinson (Sarah), Kenny Jenkinson (Kate) Tiffany Jenkinson, Kelli Schuster (Ryan), and Michael Jenkinson (Tara); seven great-grandchildren, Addison, Parker, Charlie, Finn, Taylor, Jordan, and Baylon; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Saint Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church.  Interment will be in Oglethorpe Memorial Park.
