Savannah Terry Lynn Crowell, 71, passed away peacefully at home in Savannah Friday, January 20, 2017. Born in Pontiac, MI, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force, the LA Police Department, and the GBI, where he served as a criminal investigator until his retirement in 2000. He also served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 15 years, including two as Commander. A resident of Colonel’s Island in Liberty County for 10 years, Terry was a member of the Hinesville Blue Lodge and Shrine and was elected to the position of Worshipful Master in 2010. He was a past president of the Hinesville/Fort Stewart Shrine Club and was serving as treasurer at the time of his passing. He was also a member of the Alee Temple, Southern Cruisers Riding Club, and Iron Knights Motorcycle Club. He is survived by his life partner, Donna Vaughan; son, Thomas Crowell (Kristan); brothers, Ron Cartier and Rick Cartier (Brenda); sisters, Donna Crowell, Tonja Crowell, and Dawn Sudbury (Cliff); and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Friday, January 27, 2017, at The Blue Lodge, 933B E.G. Miles Parkway, Hinesville, GA. Committal Service with Full Military Honors will begin at 1 pm in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 8819 US HWY 301, Glennville, GA, and a reception at the Hinesville Shrine Club, 613 E.G. Miles Parkway, Hinesville, will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Morris Slotin Transportation Fund of the Alee Temple (www.aleeshrine.org), P. O.
