Elvia Maria Pimentel

August 30, 1935 — November 8, 2017

Elvia Maria Pimentel, 82, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Hospice House Savannah surrounded by her family.

Born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, she was a resident of Hinesville for 41 years where she was a very active member of St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church.  A supportive military wife, mother, Tati, and homemaker, she was the glue that held her family together during her husband’s military career.  She enjoyed walking, shopping, and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Victorino Pimentel; a son, Victor Pimentel, Sr.;  mother, Tomasa Rodriguez; father, Ramon Feliciano; and siblings, Ada Rodriguez, Domingo Feliciano, Esther Rodriguez, Anibal Feliciano, and Heriberto Feliciano.     

She is survived by a daughter, Myrna Iris Kervin (Scott) of Riverside, AL; son, Gerald “Jerry” Pimentel of Hinesville; daughter-in-law, Tammy LaRee Pimentel of Hinesville; grandchildren, Victor Manuel Pimentel, Jr., Jennifer Christine Pimentel, and Joey Kervin; siblings, Antonio Feliciano, Idalina Figueroa, and Haydee Rodriguez.   

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, with Rosary and Prayer Service beginning at 7 p.m.  Funeral Mass will begin at Noon,  Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church with Father Allen McDonald officiating.   Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Park.

The Pimentel family would like to thank their dear friends, Melissa Todd Peters, the Robles family, and Hospice Savannah for the care and support they provided.
