Rachel Andes Ramos, 73, passed away at home Monday, June 11, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Born in the Philippines, she was a resident of Hinesville for the past 10 years and attended St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, baking, crocheting, and sewing. She also loved spending time on her farm gardening and raising goats.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Eusebio V. Ramos; three sisters, Nilda Sullivan, Vilma Latayan, and Maria Casanova; six brothers, Belindo Andes, Napoleon Andes, Paterno Andes, Juan Andes, Jr., Apolo Andes, and Nilo Andes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Augusto Andes, Sr., and her parents, Juan Andes, Sr., and Fe Andes.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, with prayer vigil beginning at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am, Monday, June 18, 2018, at St. Stephen First Martyr Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville at 1 pm.
