Winna Jean Karnstedt

December 15, 1925 — August 14, 2018

Winna Jean Karnstedt, 92, passed away at home Tuesday, August 14, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Born in Lexington, OK, she lived in Hinesville for 11 years before moving to Louisiana, where she resided for 40 years.  She returned to Hinesville this past October.  She was a member of Hinesville First Presbyterian Church.  She was a homemaker, seamstress, avid bowler and good Navy wife. 

She was preceded in death by a son John C. Karnstedt.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles H. Karnstedt; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jeff Gintz of Hinesvile; sister, Linda Latham of Houston, TX; daughter-in-law, Patricia Karnstedt of Lancaster, CA; grandchildren, Amanda Parker and Charles Karnstedt of Lancaster, and Courtney Gintz of Hinesville; step-grandson, Kris Gintz of Seattle, WA, and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will begin at 10 am, Friday, August 17, 2018, at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org/giving/honor-memorial.php), 1355 Peachtree St NE, Suite 600, Atlanta,GA 30309.
