Richmond Hill Mrs. Mary Louise Crowley Shuman, age 81, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family.  The Liberty County native had lived in Richmond Hill most of her life. Mrs. Mary not only talked about Jesus but she lived for Jesus. Her prayers were desired by all. Wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met. She always looked for the best in everyone. This kind, gentle and meek lady will be fondly remembered and missed by all who ever met her. When all of her children were in school, she began a 23-year long career with the Bryan County School System. Upon retirement, Mrs. Mary found a lot of pleasure going fishing with her husband and family.  Mrs. Mary is a member of Richmond Hill Full Gospel Church and is preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Eva Ashmore Crowley; daughter, Darlene Laverne Shuman; sisters, Mildred Haymans and Kathleen Hiers; brothers, Archie Crowley, Carroll Crowley, and Joe Crowley. She is survived by her husband of 64yrs, Mr. Lawton Shuman of Richmond Hill; children, Barbara (Gary) Smith of Riceboro, Darnell (Shree) Shuman of Fleming, Timmy (Polly) Shuman of Fleming, Charlene (Tommy) Phillips of Richmond Hill, Lynn (Joye) Shuman of Baxley and Andy (Cindy) Shuman of Brunswick; brothers, Paul (Margie) Crowley of Fleming, Clarence (Joy) Crowley of Fleming and Clinton (Bobbie) Crowley of Crossville, AL; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Richmond Hill Full Gospel Church with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm with the Reverends Mark Downs, Gene Garrison, and Jeptha Newberry.  Interment will follow at the First Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Jason Shuman, Byron Shuman, Joshua Shuman, Sheldon Shuman, Corey Shuman, Ross Phillips and Justin Shuman.
