Dianne Hunt Gordon

Hinesville Dianne Hunt Gordon, 57, died at home Thursday, October 27, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Roland, NC, and lived in Hinesville for the past several years.  She was a loving mom, an avid fisherman, and enjoyed working in the yard.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Pete Hunt and Margaret Norton Geackel; two brothers, Ricky Hunt and Texas Pete Hunt; and a sister, Carol Ann Hunt. She is survived by her son, Charles David Gordon of Hinesville; sisters, Martha Sabo of Hinesville and Rosa Hunt of Denver, NC; brothers, James Norton of Mathews, NC, Elmer Hunt of Hinesville, and Ralph Hunt of Charlotte, NC; stepfather and stepmother, Kenneth R. and Elizabeth Geackel, Jr., of Hinesville; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kimberly Smith of Jesup. Memorial service will be at 2pm, Monday, October 31, 2016, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
