Yvonne and Rich married on July 22, 1972, and spent the next 20 years traveling around the world as a US ARMY family, finally settling in Hinesville, Georgia, in 1992 when Richard retired from the service.

Yvonne was an extremely hardworking person, and began her work as a Candy Striper at Spencer Hospital in Iowa, where she also worked part-time as a waitress at Stubb’s Restaurant. She managed the local Block Buster store in Hinesville for years and spent the last 19 years as a LPN at Memorial Hospital in Savannah and Winn ARMY Medical Center, Fort Stewart, GA. She was, first and foremost, a caregiver to everyone.
